A Singapore studio that bet on the music video, not just the song
The Sondo AI app is built by TUNESPHERE SG PTE. LTD., a Singapore-based studio. The Sondo AI app launched on Google Play in April 2025 and has since crossed 550,000+ downloads, with the current version v2.2.2 (May 2026). The official site is sondoai.com.
The defining choice for Sondo AI is making the music video the product, not the song. Where Suno, Beatron and Zurna stop at audio, Sondo AI keeps going: it analyses the rhythm, melody and mood of any track, then renders a synchronised cinematic music video. Visual styles include romantic, sci-fi, city, abstract and cinematic; you can let the model auto-pick or lock the direction yourself. The Sondo AI music generator is the on-ramp — keywords to a track — but the MV is the headline.
Be clear-eyed about the limits. Sondo AI's App Store rating sits around 3.38/5 — substantially lower than its peers — and reviewers cite real issues: occasional lip-sync drift, AI artifacts (extra hands, weird angles) on complex scenes, scenes that don't follow the lyrics, and render times of 10–18 minutes per video. The biggest friction is credit pricing — multiple reviewers describe rendering a single full music video as eating through a sizeable credit pack.
Practical caveats: free Sondo AI use is limited, full features require credits or subscription, and quality is uneven. For short-form social — TikTok, Reels, Shorts — the cinematic visuals can be striking. For broadcast-grade or feature production, Sondo AI is not quite ready yet. Test the free tier and a small credit pack before committing — and read current pricing in your store, because rates change.
